Meet the Chef

Born and raised in San Antonio, chef Evan Montelongo has over ten years of experience in both food service and cooking. After graduating in 2010 from the Le Cordon Bleu institute of culinary arts, he moved to San Francisco and gained experience in several Michelin starred restaurants. Most notably, the one star flagship restaurant of the Michael Mina restaurant group under internationally recognized chef Ron Siegel.

Chef Evans affinity for the kitchen started at an early age, helping his mom by leveling out measuring cups of flour for cakes. Over the course of his life, it grew to become a vocation, passion and even an obsession.

Aside from work, chef Evan values his family, friends and broader community. If he’s not on uncle duty or cleaning out a friends refrigerator for a delicious “Franken-meal” you may find him on the disc golf course, a local stand up comedy open mic or pub trivia.
